This is an agreement dictating the terms of use of the font software-- “Stencil-Gothic” between you, the licensee, and the makers, -Johannes Lang and Ellmer Stefan. By purchasing a license for the font software you acknowledge to understand and promise to comply to the terms stated in this agreement.
1. Permitted and prohibited use
This revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license gives you, the licensee, the right to install the font software on the number of computers (CPUs) -stated- on the payment confirmation as well as the embedding of the font software as webfont for one domain including all its subdomains. For the use on further websites a separate license must be purchased — get in contact with the makers for multi-domain licensing.
You are entitled to use the font software and its glyph shapes in graphic work of personal and commercial nature within the scope of your business activities or the business activities of the entity it was licensed for. This includes the embedding into non-editable Portable Document Format Files (PDF) for the sole purpose of providing documents for pre-press or other reproduction processes. It is permitted to make archival copies of the font software.
For the use in software packages such as mobile-apps and e-book embedding, please get in contact with the makers in order to purchase a separate license covering those conditions.
This license is NOT transferable to third parties outside the licensee’s business activities.
2. Modification and Redistribution
The font software, its glyph shapes and underlying code may NOT be, as a whole or in parts, modified without written permission from the makers. Furthermore it is NOT allowed to redistribute the font software, as a whole or in parts; it is NOT allowed to share, package or include the font software with other software. You, the licensee, are NOT entitled to provide the font software for download to third parties in any way.
3. Copyright
The font software, its glyph shapes and underlying code remain exclusive intellectual property of the makers and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
4. Crediting
If and where design credits are included in colophon texts the use of the font software shall be credited as follows: “Typeface: Stencil-Gothic by J. Lang & Ellmer S.”
5. Disclaimer
The font software is delivered “as is” without warranty of any kind. The makers of the font software are NOT liable for any damage (physical, financial or other) resulting from the use and application of the font software as well as consequences- of any kind resulting from the dealings with the font software.
6. Termination
This agreement and the attached permission of usage may be terminate by the makers if you, the licensee, fail to comply to the terms contained in this agreement. By request of the makers you have to delete all copies of the font software, including all archival copies made.
7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws in force in Austria and the -European- Union.
